The Design And Driver Development Of USB Interface Of Program-controlled Instruments

The function of digital storage oscilloscope(DSO) has been improvedincreasingly, it tends to be more diversified and integrated.Today the DSO hasmany ports,for example, it provides RS232interface,the LAN port,GPIBinterface,USB interface and so on. The Universal serial bus USB has manyadvantages of itself,so it has become the mainstream interface for thecommunication of the PC and peripheral devices.In this paper, firstly introducing the USB basics knowledge and interface,secondly introducing the platform of this paper,the processor is Analog Devicecompany BF53X series embedded processor, its a digital signal processor, theDSO’s processor use one of this series. The digital storage oscilloscope also hasthe USB interface. Our research on the USB interface using the C programminglanguage.In the first place, developing the firmware of the USB interface, this contentinclude two aspects:one one hand is the USB host system,it has been developedto obtain data of the communication between DSO and other USB devices, andestablished connection to the peripheral by enumerating the device;on the otherhand is the USB device system,it can be communicate with other device bybulk-only transmission.Secondly,developing the function driver of the USB device on thecomputer,and realize the function that pc an communication between the maincontrol board and further can obtain data from the main board.This research project is in line with the general tendency of the developmentof the current equipment,further implement the DSO digital storage oscilloscopefunction diversification,for our further developing the digital oscilloscope haspositive significance.
