The propagation technology on frequency-hopping communicatio channel is one ofstudy hotspots in the field of communication. Frequency-hopping is a mainstreamtechnology in communication nowadays. It had a large number of applications in bothmilitary confidentiality and civilian communication, because of all the characteristicsand advantages of anti-noise, anti-jamming, anti-multipath and anti-intercepted.However, the environments the information communicate are not ideal or a layer of thesame. It puts forward higher requirements for communication system design in complexcommunication channel which different communication channels produce differentpropagation fading. It becomes more and more urgent and important to evaluate theperformance of wireless radio frequency-hopping communication propagation incomplex terrain conditions environment. In this thesis, the characteristics of frequency-hopping communication propagationchannel is discussed. And study based on the analysis deeply about recent radio wavepropagation theory and technical principles in the above background condition. Thenmain contents are proposed:1. It designed a simulation modeling program in Simulink sofrware to simulatefrequency-hopping communication system. The program built a real-time actualfrequency-hopping communication system through the establishment of the transmittersource module, the frequency-hopping pattern generator module, modem or de-modemmodule, bit-error rate statistics module and so on. It laid a foundation for the study ofthe frequency-hopping propagation communication channel in term of systemparameters adjustment and results analysis conveniently.2. It devised a research method for scientific geographic information dataprocessing. The method uses the free SRTM-DEM database public by NASA andcompletes the research task under a certain degree of precision reducing research costseffectively.3. It puts forward a model design for wireless radio propagation fading predictionon a wide-range complex terrain communication environment. Line-of-sight, diffraction and scattering three cases algorithm have been designed to predict wireless radiopropagation fading that taking into account the complex irregular terrain environmentand a variety of radio characteristics in different frequency. Through the comparisonwith some classic propagation model, the model designed by this thesis is more suitableto complex terriain communication environment. This thesis has been applied to an actual project which has the project backgroundand practical significance from a research institute. Though the works above, it gives abit error rate analysis method of frequency-hopping propagation communication toanalyze the communication system performance. At last, the predictable results ofwireless radio propagation considering the communication in the multipath effect andDoppler shift give communication system BER analysis results under three differentsimulation scenarios. The results prove the effectiveness and versatility of the designmethod.
