With the rapid development of Optical Communication Networks and relavanttechnologies, fiber laser technology is also developing at the same time, Specially, therapid development of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) is quickly tostimulate the progress of the Multi-wavelength Fiber Laser. The appearance ofMulti-wavelength Fiber Lasers provide the ideal solution for realizing Tbit/s DWDMtransmission.The widely used of Multi-wavelength Fiber Lasers requires usingMulti-wavelength laser as light source, and the Multi-wavelength laser need have lowthreshold, equally spaced, narrow linewidth and power stability, So, the the1550nmband Multi-wavelength Fiber Laser which meets the requirements become worldwideresearch focus. Multi-wavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber lasers used mainly nonlinearBrillouin gain in single-mode fiber and linear erbium gain, It has some specialcharacteristics which include a stable wavelength interval, a small single wavelengthbandwidth and the stable multi-wavelength output under the room temperature, so thatthe fiber lasers received attention.(1) This paper put forward two kind of Multi-wavelength Brillouin-erbium fiberlasers which based on the50:50coupler in a ring cavity, include stimulated Brillouinerbium-doped fiber laser and self-excited Brillouin rbium-doped fiber laser. TheBrillouin pump source of stimulated Brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser useself-regulating narrow linewidth source. The stimulated Brillouin erbium-doped fiberlaser output8stable laser lines with0.8nm spacing at last, The odd differs by5dBoutput power from the even. On this output basis, provided that inserted into the energyfilter, it would only output the odd-order (or even order)multi-wavelength.(2) From the structure of self-excited Brillouin rbium-doped fiber laser,60stableoutput laser liners with0.16GHz spacing was obtained at a980nm pump power of300mW, each wavelength has the signal noise ratio of20dB more, and the flat outputpower of3dB has more than20. This paper have detailed the characteristics and theworking principle of double Brillouin frequency shift, We focus on the cause of double Brillouin frequency shift. For further research, we have replaced different couple,changed the pump power and selected some erbium-dopedl fiber materials, and thendesigned bidirectional pump structrue to verify the result.
