With the development of times,more and more requirements are put forward in the communication network,such as ultra high capacity,super transmission rate and extra long distance.In the Dense wavelength division multiplexing system,laser source is an important part,it needs to meet multi-wavelength outputs,stable performance,economical and so on.Multi-wavelength fiber laser based on stimulated Brillouin scattering is the effective method to realize multi-wavelength outputs,and because of the advantages of narrow line width,stable frequency,directional sensitivity of the stimulated Brillouin scattering gain,it attracts interest from domestic and abroad.This thesis aimed at the detailed study of multi-wavelength fiber laser based on stimulated Brillouin scattering,and the main content and the innovative points are as follows:(1)The background of the task is introduced at first,then it introduces the development,purpose,advantages and disadvantages of the fiber laser,the multi-wavelength fiber laser and the Brillouin erbium-doped fiber laser respectively,and at last,the main content and the innovative points of this thesis are given.(2)The correlation theory of fiber laser and multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser are introduced in detail.which draw forth the key technologies and the existence problems.To solve these key technologies,various mechanisms to generate multi-wavelength have been brought up.(3)The generation mechanism of stimulated Brillouin scattering in the fiber and the related properties about stimulated Brillouin scattering are analyzed.In this context,we modeling then output characteristics of ring cavity and linear cavity of multi-wavelength fiber laser respectively.(4)Three structures of multi-wavelength fiber laser based on stimulated Brillouin scattering are elaborated,which are multi-wavelength fiber laser with single Brillouin frequency shift,double Brillouin frequency shift and triple Brillouin frequency shift respectively.The single Brillouin frequency shift multi-wavelength fiber laser has 26 order multiwavelength outputs,and the tunable range is from 1530 nm to 1570 nm.The double Brillouin frequency shift multi-wavelength fiber laser has 10 order multiwavelength outputs,and the tunable range is from 1525 nm to 1565 nm.The triple Brillouin frequency shift multi-wavelength fiber laser has 6 order multiwavelength outputs,and the tunable range is from 1524 nm to 1563 nm.At the same time,the relation of BP power and 980 nm pump power with multiwavelength outputs have been researched.
