With the wide application of Internet in a variety of areas and the rapid development ofembedded technology, how to interconnect the embedded equipments of industry site andthe Internet to realize the remote monitoring and controlling to embedded systems hasbecome an imperative for embedded equipments. The embedded Internet technology is acombination of embedded technology and Internet technology, it provides an excellentsolution for the interconnection of embedded equipments and the Internet. In this thesis, torealize the remote monitoring and controlling to Li-ion battery formation equipments, anembedded gateway based on the embedded Internet technology is researched and designed,which realizes the data communication between Li-ion battery formation equipments andthe host computer via CAN bus and the Internet.Firstly, the background, development status and application areas of the embeddedInternet technology are presented, and the practical application requests of this technologyin Li-ion battery formation equipments is expounded in this thesis. Secondly, the CAN bus,embedded TCP/IP protocol and Ethernet technology are deeply researched, on this basis, thesystem structure and design scheme of the embedded gateway are proposed. In terms of thesystem hardware design, with the Freescale MC9S12XDT256microprocessor and networkinterface chip of CP2200as the core, the hardware circuit of the gateway is designed,including the CAN bus interface circuit, microprocessor peripheral circuit and networkinterface circuit. In terms of the system software design, the concrete realization of CANbus, Ethernet driver and embedded TCP/IP protocol is completed, and the correspondingcode is given in this thesis. Finally, on the basis of the entire system realization, thisembedded gateway is applied to the Li-ion battery formation equipments, the experimentshows that stable communication between computers and field equipments via the Internetis achieved, which realizes the remote monitoring and controlling to embedded systems, andthe expected target is reached.The innovation of this thesis is that the XGATE coprocessor module of the MC9S12Xseries microprocessor is used to handle interrupts and preprocess the received data, while the TCP/IP protocol transformation of the data is processed by the main processor. In thisway, the load of the main processor is reduced, the processor resource is utilized fully andthe real-time performance of data processing and transmission is improved.
