| As the school scale has expanded with increasing number of resident students, ourcampus is calling for higher level on logistical management. In order to improve the logisticmanagement and services, make the rear services scientific and standard, as well as realizethe informatization and automatization of the managerial methods, Our college hasestablished a project to develop a centralized management system for electricity use instudent apartments.A model, with intelligent data collection and measurement control of electrical energy, isadopted to centralize and control the use of electricity in student apartments in this system. Inthis case, the process of how to use electricity can be monitored in real time, and measuring,counting and checking all the figures of electricity use can be conducted in the whole college.In addition, the use of electricity in hostels can be also limited within certain time and certainamount, and the power of electric appliance that are not allowed to use can be set, preventingstudents from using electricity under overload or stealing power to ensure their safety. Basedon the Visual Basic.NET Software developing platform, the project was managed anddeveloped strictly. So the goals set by the project have been achieved successfully under thejoint efforts made by both the developers and users from college and enterprise by taking theactual needs of power use in student apartments into consideration. By the adoption of SQLSERVER2008database system, the project database has been designed to implement unifiedmanagement of the data of electricity use, back-up and optimization of the database.The composition of software and hardware structures, the design, and the functions andtests of the centralized management system for electricity use in student apartments will bediscussed in this thesis. This project has been used to manage the electricity use in students’dormitories of our college, and it has been working quite well. |
