With the rapid development of radar technology, as well as its various applicationssuch as military and civil, high-performance radar has received more and moreattention.In this paper, at first the division of the radar receiver working frequency band andits application are simply introduced, then both the existing receiver system schemesand their problems were analyzed. By comparing the existing receiver schemes, a goodsensitivity, selectivity and dynamic range of super heterodyne structure was choosed asthe receiver scheme in this paper. Comprehensive considering the image rejection andintermediate frequency filtering requirements,70MHz was selected as theintermediate frequency. The RF filter was placed behind two levels of low noiseamplifier for achieving noise coefficient less than3dB, and improving the receiversensitivity. In order to make the receiver have a stable oscillator, the frequencysynthesizer was used as the local oscillator signals, and greatly increased the frequencysource frequency stability. Then proper devices were selected to form each module.After that, the single-board test of each device was designed and tested to examinewhether the device meets performance requirements or not. Finally calculating thegains and signal power of all devices, cascading each module, and making the link test,a high-performance radar receiver which meet the design requirements was obtained.
