On The Community Information Service Of Public Library

Public library is a social sharing knowledge center, which should keep pace with TheTimes, for the needs of the community, close to the community residents, to meet the needsof the community residents for community information service. Through the understandingthe status of community information service of public library, the thesis puts forward thestrategy of community-oriented public library information service, in order to impel theprogress and development of public library information service.The thesis mainly is dividedinto five parts. The first part, mainly introduces the research background, research situationat home and abroad, the research of theoretical and practical significance, research methodsand research innovations and deficiencies. The second part discusses the basic theory ofpublic library information service, and expounds the community-oriented public libraryinformation service connotation,main contents and service characteristics.The third part isthe analysis of promoting factors of community information service of public library.Itexpounds the public library to carry out the community information service is by its nature,social functions, spirit and value, the rapid development of community and communityresidents’ culture information demand.In basic theory discussing,the fourth part is about thedomestic and foreign community oriented analysis on the current situation of public library,so as to sum up the main characteristic of abroad community information services in publiclibraries and analyze the restricting factors and the existing main problems of communityinformation service of public libraries in our country.The fifth part puts forward the buildingof our country community oriented public library information service strategy, which is toset up diversified service concept, to discover new information service mode,to developpersonalized service content and enhance the level of information service personnel.
