Research On Conflict Creation Of Reality Television On The Perspective Of Medium Situation Theory

Chinese reality show has gradually had variety of types with unique national features after ten years of local development. It has improved audience rate on a whole and ascended to mature mainstream television market with the lapse of time. More and more reality programs are based on real needs, providing entertainment and playing the role of helping, guiding and educating viewers.At the beginning of2012, with the encouragement of the State Administration of Radio and Television that supports the creation of moral cultivation programs, III GX channel for TV plays and movies produced the first national90s motivational reality show "the ladette to the lady". The program was made for educating and changing ladettes by a series of experimental courses. As the first to innovation, the program is creative on content and skill, especially making good use of contradiction and conflict to strengthen its dramaticism. The more important, it helps ladettes realize self-recognition and self-fulfillment, and that will be the reference for subsequent reality programs.The dissertation is divided into six chapters. The first chapter mainly states research significance, domestic and international research status and primary coverage. The second chapter analysises the development of domestic reality show. The following three chapters uses the "Medium Situation Theory" as the basic theoretical foundation, and are focus on the conflict creation of "the ladette to the lady". It includes the theoretical analysis of "Medium Situation Theory", conflict creation and effect analysis. The last chapter assesses the conflict creation of Chinese reality show on narratology, morality and mass communication perspective, and put forward problems and challenges.
