With the high-speed development of national economy, the country’s demand for energy is increasing. China’s coal production accounts for more than half of the global’s. So far the safety of mining coal is still the concerning focus all over the world. The accidents of coal mine auxiliary transportation which is needed to be solved now only follows landslides and gas explosion. In order to realize the mine locomotive safety dispatching and emergency safeguard, the paper proposes the study of mine locomotive management based on ZIGBEE and the internet of things technology. The hardware and software design of the system has be completed.The paper introduces the research status at home and abroad. The effect of mine environment on the wireless transmission is provided. The demand of the intrinsical safe circuit that can be used in the mine are given. Selecting the needed hardware is according to these factors and the requirement of the project. Introducing the parameter index, the applicable scope, working principle and the interface of the hardware in the system and the circuit principle diagram in detail. Showing the flow chart of software design and the development program of serial debugging assistant regard to testing the system circuit board.Selecting the QAZ2000ZIGBEE wireless passing through module to build a wireless communication network for conveying information. Selecting the SR-8300industrial bus read/write device to read the location information of a fixed position, then send it to the ZIGBEE wireless network through the microcomputer. The all information will be send to the computer at last. The computer calculates the locomotive position, then sends warning information to the designated locomotive for reminding the driver to drive safely.The design of software uses the Microsoft visual studio (visual c++) as the development environment. Using the MFC to design the interface. Selecting SQL Server2000as the database management system of the platform. Showing the every locomotive real-time position and speed on the platform interface. Computing the distance between locomotives through the locomotive position and sending a warning or emergency signal. Beside Calculating the possibility that the vehicles will occur collision in the branch and displaying in the main interface in advance to inform the dispatcher.Setting up a small system in the laboratory and doing the basic performance testing, the requirements of the system are meet basically. Showing the every locomotive real-time location and making the locomotive running track digitalize and graphicalize. Showing the every locomotive speed in real time. Computing the distance between the locomotives and issuing a warning or sending urgent alarm signal. Detecting and displaying the park position of every locomotive to help the dispatcher choose the best scheduling plan. Calculating the possibility that the vehicles will collide in the branch. Displaying in the main interface in advance to inform the dispatcher. Recording each locomotive alarm information for better management. Realizing the function of "black box" to save the locomotive running data last month in order to query the cause of the accident.The paper proposes a new argument that by reading the location information of the electronic tag to determine the distance between the locomotives under the condition of mine environment.
