With the rapid development of computer technology, the rapid spread of the Internetand the development of integrated circuit, the mobile device can be described with eachpassing day, such as Samsung, HTC and other mobile equipment manufacturers haveintroduced dual-core and even quad-core high-end mobile phones and tablet PCs. As animportant part of the financial equipment field, banknote sorter has been unable to meetthe demand of the market because its single functions. This article will transplant aAndroid operating system for banknote sorter to make it more intelligent and modern.This thesis is divided into two parts. Firstly, transplanting and optimizing Androidoperating system for banknote sorter. Another, developing a runtime interface forbanknote sorter. Android system transplanted includes Bootloader custom, Linux kernelcutting and the Android file system creation. The runntime interface includes sortingmode interface, real-time display of the sorting parameters, serial communication andinterface landscaping. VMWare is installed in order to facilitate the operation of systemtransplanted. In the process of system transplant, it has to set up environment for Androidfirstly, customming Bootloader based on sorter hardware secondly, cutting Linux Kerneland modify drivers thirdly, then making the Android file system, at last compiling themand getting the corresponding mirror. The mirrors are used to be programmed into sorter.In the process of runtime interface, at first, Eclipse software shoud be installed in theWindows system and associated ADT and Android SDK components, then programmingthe interface with Java. Technologies such as Activity, Intent, Thread and JNI are used.Finally, the runtime interface shoud be installed and tested into the sorter.After testing, the startup speed of optimized Android improves by nearly8seconds.And the runtime interface has implemented all the basic functions of the sorter.In this thesis, through the development of transplanting of Android and runtimeinterface, Android is preliminary optimized, runtime interface is developed. And itElaborates on the Android system architecture, the transplant method and applicationdevelopment.
