The rapid development of information technology provides a quick and easy solution for all kinds of problems.And without exception,computer and network technology also provides a powerful support for the construction of hospital information system. At present, the construction of hospital information management system of our country has already begun to take shape.Most of the hospitals have HIS system applied in the daily management.As an important part of the hospital information system, electronic medical record is a complete record of the patient from admission to discharge,which throughout the entire treatment. Along with the development of information technology,the growing number of electronic medical records within hospital and among hospitals is massive.So,how to find out the useful information we want in a short time become an urgent problem to solve.With the continuous improvement of the HL7standard and clinical document architecture CDA,XML technology has played an tremendous role in electronic medical records storage and research.A standard electronic medical record document can be understood as a well-formed XML file.Indexing and retrieval electronic medical records can be transformed into XML file indexing and retrieval.The generation of cloud computing provides a simple and efficient solution to process various kinds of massive data problem.Hadoop is a typical cloud computing platform,it provides MapReduce programming model is used to handle large-scale data sets. The generation of hadoop makes the distributed programming more easier.We designed and implemented an indexing and retrieval prototype system based on Hadoop,Lucene and Katta.Hospital staffs can retrieve the medical records information quickly with the help of our system.Thesis has been divided into three parts:(1) Introduces Hadoop,Lucene, Katta and other related knowledges.(2) Design and implemented a distributed electronic medical records indexing system based on Hadoop and Lucene which you can build an index for the massive EMRs quickly.(3) Implemented the distributed retrieval system for EMRs based on Katta.Finally,verified feasibility and effectiveness of the system through experiment.
