The maturity and development of computer technology, network communicationstechnology, intelligent sensor technology and microelectronics technology create a wellprecondition and foundation for the development of smart home. But there exitsdeficiencies and shortcomings in all existing home system and large gaps at theintelligence field. Address these deficiencies and shortcomings, this article proposes aset smart home infrared control system based on the Android platform,2.4G short-rangewireless RF communication.The system manages appliances intelligently as a android intelligent device to be amaster controller terminals (Tablet PC, for example) via the2.4GHz radio frequencytechnology (2.4G for short). Meanwhile, in order to achieve the integrated managementof the existing infrared remote control of appliances,the system centralized manages andcontrols the infrared appliances through the control center of infrared device.The systemis split into the master control side,2.4G wireless communication module and infraredcentralized control module.Based on Android tablet PC developping, the host controller side module achievesthe centralized control of indoor infrared devices such as DVD, TV and so on. The2.4Gwireless communication module which is based on51single-chip core of the CC2511wireless transceiver achieves the communication between the host control end and theinfrared home appliances. The infrared centralized control module achieves theintelligent study of the infrared remote control codes, receives and transmits the infraredsignals.This paper is divided into six chapters, the first and second chapters introduce thecurrent development of the smart home firstly, proposes the main work and innovation.On this basis, the Android system architecture and the wireless communication moduleare introduced. Chapter III of the paper does the system requirements analysis and givesthe overall system design. The fourth chapter is a detailed Design and Implementationof the various modules of the system. Chapter V of the paper tests the various modulesof the system and the function of the system as a whole. The final chapter summarizes the work of this article, and looks forward to the future research.In summary, this paper proposes an intelligent home infrared control system basedon android platform, combination of2.4G wireless technology and infrared technology,to centralized control and intelligent manage the infrared equipment, in order toimprove performance and reduce costs.
