The smart home is an emerging concept in recent years, which combines wirelesssensor network technology, automatic control and computer technology. The smart homeis in the early stages of development of the industry, with a broad space for development.With the rapid economic development of China, the demand for quality of life and homeenvironment is becoming increasingly high and the demand for intelligent home isbecoming more and more intense. In such a context, wireless focus on intelligent controlof household equipment has become the inevitable trend of the current smart home’sdevelopment.Android operating system is a Linux-based open source operating system, originallydeveloped by Andy Rubin and specifically designed to support mobile phone. After it isacquired by Google in2005, as the main push of Google smart phone operating system,Android operating system quickly became the most popular and share of the largestmobile operating system because of its open source, good user experience and richapplication support. Now, it is gradually extended to the Tablet PC and other mobiledevices.2.4G wireless spectrum belongs to the ISM band, and it is used widelyworldwide, with free, low-power, green, and other features.In this thesis, by the analysis of existing smart home control system and combinedwith the Android and2.4G wireless communications technology, one2.4G wirelessintelligent home control system is designed based on the Android platform and the overallsystem architecture and the main control module design and implementation is given. Themainly completed work in this article are as follows:The overall structure of the system is designed according to the characteristics ofthe home environment, including the control centers, the lighting control module, thetemperature control module and the infrared centralized control module. According tohousehold characteristics and requirements of the wireless control system, and taking intoaccount the overall cost in the practical application of the system, it selects the mainequipment of the CC2511as the system developed2.4G wireless module and the Android Tablet PC MID as a control center to the upper control. Then by the research ofSimpliciTI protocol, home network control protocol based on this protocol is designedand implemented on CC2511.And on the basis of CC2511which has implemented thisnetwork protocol, the lighting control module, temperature control module, infraredcentralized control module, the control center four home wireless control module, as wellas each module’s driver, storage structures and control interface are designed andimplemented so that the whole system achieve centralized control of lighting in the homeenvironment, temperature detection, infrared appliances through the control center.Eventually this thesis implemented the wireless control of TV, DVD and lights and thetesting of home environment temperature on the hand-held terminal of Android operatingsystem.
