With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, spectrumresources become increasingly tense. The monitoring and management of spectrumresources appears to be even more important. For real-time monitoring and managementof the spectrum occupancy in each region, a lot of monitoring and investigation devicesneed to be introduced. As one of the key devices, the monitoring receiver, which istaken lots of deep and meticulous researches, leads to a significant contribution toestablishing and improving the complete spectrum regulatory system. The monitoringreceiver is one of the most important devices. A deep and meticulous research of themonitoring receiver has a great significance to establish and improve the spectrumregulatory system. Based on this point, a research and development of hardware systemfor the low-cost digital monitoring receiver and its related functions are taken anddisplayed in this dissertation.The main work of this dissertation is the accomplishment of the design ofmonitoring receiver hardware system. With a comprehensive consideration of themanufacturing cost, an appropriate hardware circuit is designed for the requirement oftop-level function. RF front-end module, AD and network communication circuitprovide a complete signal transmission path. A good support for digital signalprocessing algorithms in hardware is given by DSP and FPGA. The GPS module, whichis integrated in hardware system, makes it possible for TDOA location. The use oftemperature monitoring chip and hardware encryption chip enriches the function ofmonitoring receiver.In order to facilitate post-maintenance and upgrade of the monitoring receiver,remote upgrade function is discussed in detail. This dissertation not only focuses onoperation procedure of the top-level function, but also makes a full design of programstorage distribution and program code solidification and loading. With the largely layingof monitoring receivers, the introduction of remote upgrade function can greatly reducethe post-maintenance and upgrade cost and shorten the upgrade cycle. Thus, the remoteupgrade function plays a very important role in monitoring and management system. Parameter measurement is an indispensible part in monitoring receiver, for it is ofgreat significance for judging the quality and characteristics of the signal. On the basisof hardware system, the measurement of power level, frequency and bandwidth isdiscussed in detail. With the consideration of hardware structure, the dissertationelaborates on the principle of the parameter algorithm and the fixed-point scaling ofcalculation process. Then specific calculation steps and processes are stated. Under theexisting experimental condition, lots of results and analysis of parameter test aredisplayed lastly.
