The main function of power supply is to provide a standardized and stable powerto the load under different input grid condition, with advantages like high efficiency andhigh energy density, switching power supplies has been widely used in office equipment,computers, communication systems and other applications. There are many kind ofSwitching Power Supply. Digital control switching power supply which was completelycontrolled by software running on Digital Signal Processor (DSP) has many advantages.These advantages include programmability, good adaptability, low component counts,design can be Pullman, advanced calibration capabilities, good performance and goodmarket value.The goal of this design is to design a DSP-based digital switching power supplywith fully digital control and remote management and monitoring capabilities. Thisgreatly enhanced the intelligence, reduced the volume and influence of environmentchange. The project need to complete the hardware and software design.The hardware can be divided into two parts: power conversion; DSP control. Inorder to facilitate future upgrades, the DSP circuit wan designed as a module pluggedinto the motherboard, to facilitate future replacement upgrade. Power conversion sectionjoined the active PFC circuit, the power factor of the system is more than0.98, reducedthe reactive power. The EMI suppression circuitry reduced the pollution on the grid.After considering the various advantages and disadvantages of topology, according tothe project needs, the main voltage conversion part select double-ended forwardtopology as the power conversion topology, and then completed the design of the entirepower.The system software is designed in modular, the entire system software is dividedinto three modules, A/D module, control algorithm module, human-computerinteraction module. Remote control was added in the software, for the harshenvironment of the application, in order to avoid transmission errors caused by misuse,system software added CRC check to ensure correct transmission. While adding the IDrecognition function, so that the power supply can be controlled in a unified control center.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of commonly usedswitching power supply topology, select the appropriate topology according to theproject?require. Then complete the design of circuits and magnetic components,introduced the characteristics of Digital Signal Processor, then introduced the structureand development environment of MC56F8323VBFE Digital Signal Processor. Theproject uses the C language as programming language, and completed the design ofsoftware and algorithms.
