OPC (OLE for Process Control) defines an international industry standard interface technology, it depends the Microsoft’s COM technology. What’s important, the OPC interface technology applies object linking and embedding technology in the field of industrial process control. It provides a standard data access technology which makes whatever forms the device it is, the receiver will access in a unified way to get it.In this paper, we use VC++6.0as a development tool to carry out the design and development on the wind farm monitoring system base on OPC interface technology. Firstly, we carefully introduce the COM technology which is the basic technology of OPC interface technology. Secondly, we describe the OPC data access specification which we used in this design. Last, we explain the design ideas of wind farm monitoring software system. The OPC monitoring software can read and write data from multiple field control devices. The paper aimed to realize the wind turbine monitoring software based on OPC and the operation of displaying field data in real time, alarming, watching history curve and report generate and the wind turbine monitoring onsite.The design idea of this paper has an advantage of openness. The wind farm monitoring system can be used in practical application, after adjusting, it can realize accessing data of multiple devices, and realize the wind turbine monitoring software. It not only can read and write data from multiple devices and regenerate data library in a real time, but also can transfer monitoring data into the center of monitoring and control in a real time.
