With the rapid development of semiconductor technology, the speed of the processor and rate of sampling are improving constantly, which make the storage device with high speed and large capacity become an indispensable part of real-time signal processing system. The storage device usually adopts PCI bus, because of high cost, inflexibility and no ability to accomplish remote data transmission; therefore it is crucial to develop a storage system with strong generality and good flxeiblity.The design and implementation of the storage system is elaborated in this paper mainly from the aspects of scheme design, hardware design, FPGA logic design, and application development.The system chooses FPGA as the core controller, accomplishes data recording between two boards through Fiber Channel based on RocketIO GTP, fullfills data real-time storing in pipeline parallel method based on storage array made up of64FLASH. Gigabit Ethernet interface based on MAC, USB interface based on CY7C68013A and PCI interface based on PCI9054are used to fullfill the communication between the computer and the system and accomplish the download of stored data. The application programe can control operations flexiblely of storage system through interaction between the Windows and users.The results of tests show that the storage system designed in this paper has advantages of large capacity, high speed, good reliability and strong flxeiblity, which has better practicality and application value of new technology.
