With the rapid development of computer hardware and software technology, thereare more and more requirements for computer simulation, especially the rise in recentyears, GIS, and roaming visual simulation, take the simulation of computer visiongradually into a higher level. But most studies focus on a particular process currently,inheritance and reusability are concerned less.OpenGL (Open Graphics Library) defines a cross-programming language,cross-platform programming interface specifications, it is used to generatetwo-dimensional, three-dimensional image. The interface consists of over sevenhundred different function calls, builds complex three-dimensional scenes by simpleprimitives. OpenGL is commonly used in CAD, virtual reality, scientific visualizationprograms and video games development.According to the actual demand for space simulation, based on the study of thecurrent mainstream technology means, the3D space simulation method based on theOpenGL is proposed in this paper, it takes the OpenGL used into the development of thevisual simulation systems of space, trying to build out a complete set of thevisualization simulation environment of space. The user can modify the simulationparameters according to actual needs, parameters and data inputted by the user, form acomplete simulation process, intuitive graphical user decision. This article discusses theestablishing of the display environment and the simulation environment forthree-dimensional simulation system, model theory, model control algorithm. Finally anactual effect diagram of the simulation is given.
