Wireless sensor network has a board application in many fields, and now gets moreattention paid to by many industries. Under the limitation of its applicationcharacteristics, there are still some problems for depth study, such as timesynchronization, load balance, data security, routing, positioning, etc. This paper gives a deep study of the important role WSN routing protocol and sinknode play in network by analyzing some current protocol. The RDCA algorithm wasenhanced by adding stability period protocol and dealing with failure node. Aftersimulating the enhanced algorithm, a conclusion is draw that each node can makeone-hop communication with sink node and base station through cluster head.Besides, a new two layers clustering multi-hop routing protocol (TLCMH) wasdeveloped, which can support multi-hop communication when clustered, makingnetwork load balanced and longer lived on the above base. The protocol developed inthis paper, after comparing with the result of original algorithm simulation, has a20percent more longer live time in network while the same clustering performance.A sink node is implemented with sensor node and GPRS communication module. It can collect WSN internal information and make it fused, monitor WSN and transferdata to server through GPRS with speed. After testing, the developed sink node in thispaper can meet actual WSN needs.
