With the rapid development of science and technology, motion control technology is also improving constantly. Most sports events in Europe and the United States, for example, people need to use multiple cameras shooting from different angles. The TV screen, like a helicopter perspective captured high dynamic transmission is carried out by a pickup robot Spidercam. Such imaging robot can move freely in either direction in the space, like a remote control aircraft. But the area of a stadium is often very large, the distance among the four distributed motors is also relatively large, therefore, the technology of distributed nodes control is the most critical part in the control system.This paper is mainly about the software and hardware design of the motion control system for a cable traction camera.Firstly, it introduces the current situation of the development of motion control technology, it establishes the scheme of the control system design through some analysis and research on related technology; secondly, we selected Beckhoff field bus, motors, TwinCAT software and drive products according to the scheme, in order to achieve this technology, we designed a model of the cable traction camera control system which is based on the distributed nodes control and we also designed the corresponding software for this system at the same time; and then we completed the construction of system model by using an existing bracket; finally, we solved a series of technology problems by a number of debugging and improving measures.The experimental results show that:the motion control system of a cable traction camera is capable of controlling the position of the camera in the space, the operation effect basically achieve our expect, performance basically meet the demand, the measured velocity waveforms are relatively ideal and design is verified feasible.
