With the rapid development of the industrial automation, the motion control requires thehigher and higher real timing and networking, so a variety of the real-time ethernet has come out.The pure field bus hadn’t satisfied the request which represents the high speed, the high accuracyand the multi-device of the industrial field. The generating of the real-time ethernet reduced thecost of the automatic equipment, raised the speed of the real-time response and complied withthe development trend of the industrial automation. The real-time ethernet combines theadvantages of the standard ethernet and the real timing of the industrial automation. It is not onlythe communication protocol which has the powerful ability of data processing and the highlyefficient definiteness, but also applies to the servo motion control system which requires the highdynamics and accuracy. This paper builds and studies the servo motion control system based onthe EtherCAT. In the procedure, the following work has been completed:Based on the equipment of the laboratory, one master station and one slave station of theservo motion control system has been built.The TwinCAT software of the Beckhoff Automation GmbH is the soft master station. Thedigital servo drive AX5203based on the EtherCAT is the slave station. The synchronous servomotor AM3021is the executing agency. They construct the system. The paper has accomplisheda series of configuration of the master-slave station, written the TwinCAT PLC program andmixed program based on the TwinCAT software and VC++. According to these, fuzzy controlprocedure which has been written combines the PID of the driver to control AM3021accordingto the intelligent control algorithm.This paper tests the performance of the EtherCAT. The real-time ethernet analysernetANALYZER of Hilscher Automation GmbH and the network analytical software Wiresharkcompletes this task. Through this test, the superior performance of the EtherCAT is furtherverified.
