Because of Mao Zedong’s advocation of women’s emancipation, even during theChinese Cultural Revolution, there are many passages related to women in thePeople’s Daily. That includes not only each month, each page, and includes a varietyof style and a variety of issues. It has come to the unprecedented prosperity state inthe history of the women reports. But under “the class struggle for the key link"political atmosphere, people have lost their rights, especially the women. They areaphasic.It is easy to find that the prosperity of women reported during Chinese CulturalRevolution is just foam. On the surface, women’s social roles are instead of theirtraditional family roles; but in fact, they have given up the female’s unique value andindividual character, and more deeply got into the "patriarchy-centered" society. Inparticular, the women reported in the People’s Daily during Chinese CulturalRevolution have the following problems: general tendency to be "politicized", someworks to be "homogeneous", female images to be "profiling”, and report effect to be"tools ". Obviously, the concept of "politicized" is the ignored of the nature of the newsreports;"homogeneous" is the killing of gender, curbing of the creative thinking;"profiling” is to ignore the women’s personality and value; The theory of media “tools" is against to the law of propaganda."Past experience, if not forgotten, is a guide for the future". The contemporarywomen reported should reduce the political effect, and restore the real existence andlife situation of women; The media should give an all-round prospect of women;Construct women discourse, and highlight the female’s unique value and personality;Follow the propaganda rule, and return to the nature of news. As such, can we makewomen reported a better tomorrow.
