The Realization Of3D WebGIS

With the development of computer technology, Internet, GIS, as well as two-dimensional GIS cannot truly reflect the real state of the world, three-dimensional GIS gets an opportunity and develops rapidly. The emergence of technologies such as Silverlight, Flash, OpenGL makes it possible that people could realize the three-dimensional WebGIS in the web browser. In this paper, through a variety of technical approach:Silverlight, SOE, ArcSDE and Multipatch, I realized a three-dimensional WebGIS..Through the realization of the three-dimensional WebGIS system, I got the following research achievements. Firstly, Throught the study of the Silverlight technology, I established a WebGIS client with Silverlight technology, WebGIS with Silverlight technology has many advantages like beautiful interface, smooth operation, better response to support the display of vector data and edit, solving the problem of fat server and thin client, the liberation of bandwidth. Secondly, through the study of three-dimensional data in Multipatch,I got the establishment of a three-dimensional data model expressed by Multipatch data in the WebGIS. Multipathc provides a truely three-dimensional data and a true reflection of the real world. Thirdly, through the study of ArcSDE, I establish the way of connection between the Oracle database and GIS Server, through ArcSDE connection, it could be a compatible support for a variety of database and a facilitation management to a large amount of data in a relational database.it has important significance for building a distributed data sources structure and a B/S structure of the three-dimensional WebGIS. Fourth: Through the research of ArcSOE, I established and published a web service, through this service, you can resolve multipatch data, it is of great significance for the entire system。...
