Inner Mongolia is the origin place of dairy products in China, its rapid expansion bring great development of the region’s economic. Although the dairy industry’s unprecedented development, there are so many food safety issues these years making people lose their confidence of the quality of dairy, and the safe of the food attracted more attention than before. So we need to develop information management platform to manage the information of the cows cultivation efficiently and solve the traceability problem of the dairy products, ensure whether the dairy products are safety. The design and implementation of cows cultivation system based on ZigBee and RFID is aim to establish individual electronic record for the cows, and collect information of cows cultivation by RFID reader, such as feed information, breed information, milk production, vaccination information, disease prevention, treatment information, sale information and death information,so that cows cultivation can be information transported to the system by ZigBee technology, and the staff of the breeding farm can manage these information by the system effectively. This system can monitor the breeding farm, analysis the cows information and manage them in real time, improve the efficiency of collecting information and management of the breeding farm, the system is also easy to maintain. In this thesis, there is a brief introduction for the research of dairy products safety traceability in nowadays, and list some defect of traditional system in solving cows traceability problem, then the thesis expatiate RFID technology and ZigBee technology which are involved in this system. Finally, the thesis describe the design of the system and how to implement every module in this system in detail.
