"Sikuquanshuzongmu" Geography Class Research

The "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" is the most important work in the history of Chinese classical bibliography. The whole compilation process was given close attention from imperator. Intellectuals of eighteenth century gathered in the Si Ku Pavilion and devoted themselves to the hard work of editing and compiling. The "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" not only represents the peak of classical bibliography, but also embodies the highest level of classical academic summary.Therefore, scholars from pervious dynasties had showed their great interest in the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" since the introduction. Some of them focused on the research path from philology, some of them focused on the research path from academic history. The two paths were almost incompatible with each other. However, in the academic system, neither in the development of the research on the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue", nor in the process of researching on the geography, the research on the geography of the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" was in sufficiency. So far, no specialized work on the geography class of the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" has been released, In face of the weak link, the thesis will attempt to analyze the geography class of the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue" from the angle of philology and academic history.The methods used in the thesis are as follows:quantitative research, quantitative statistics, examples, classification comparison and inductive synthesis. The thesis will dissect the classification settings, the feed text evolution, references cited and literature research of the geography class of the "Si Ku Quan Shu Catalogue".
