Design And Implementation Of Postgraduate Education Management System Based On Sakai Plug-in Technology

With the reform of the national education system, education informationization put forward higher requests to construct information management of colleges and universities. But due to the speed of informationization construction can’t keep pace with the informationization development, resulting in the following issues. On the one hand, in the case of expanding the enrollment, the amount of information has increased dramatically and the speed of information updating is faster and faster. Education level is toward diversified development. The contradiction between the existing management and software interaction has become increasingly prominent; on the other hand, the continuous developments of information technology constantly promote the process of education informationization. The existing systems on the maintenance and use can’t adapt to the new change in the demand. The system often face repeat development and increase the overall costs and workload.In order to effectively address these problems, the construction and development of information management systems is the only way for the construction of informationization campus. Through the construction of the management of informationization campus, to meet the requirements of the higher education informationization. The paper use the modern information technology and the abroad advanced development thinking of open source projects to build a unified architecture and unified interface. As using the open source frameworks excellent design, the system’s development efficiency is greatly improved and the software development’s overall complexity is reduced. So the system has better performance and portability.The paper first analyzes the education information management system development background from the content on the organizational structure, as well as current development of education management information system at home and abroad. We’re proposed current common problems and clarify the significance of the subject’s study.Second, we study the foreign popular open source project of teaching management Sakai; analyze its system architecture and related technologies.Then according to the situation of the development of the information management system of colleges and universities, combined with the actual situation of our school, the paper carry out the detailed analysis and design of system function. In system design stage, we fully consider the system security, scalability, and compatibility, using Sakai framework of project technology as support and using Sakai plug-in technology as a systems development method. During the implementation phase, the paper introduces the site of management office’s main functional modules, including the registration management, payment management, student management, etc.Paper finally has carried on the multiple-angle tests. The results show that the system is security, availability and stability. The system is on the whole meeting the requirements of the graduate student education management. This kind of the system provides a perfect information operating means and has good security, usability and maintainability.At present the system has been put into use in the actual study and work.
