With the development of modern society economy and accelerating of people life rhythm, more and more medical resources are demand by people, but the traditional medical system has many shortcomings, such as the uneven distribution of medical resources, inefficiency of medical service and so on, and these shortcomings caused considerable annoyance to the people’s life. Many patients" condition take a turn for the worse because they can not get timely medical assistance.A new medical service system which is timely, efficient and convenient is urgent needed to our people. Remote intelligent medical technology is an effective way to solve these problems. It can make the patients accept the remote medical diagnosis which comes from expert doctors without go to the hospital so that can save time and cost. So it is a Significant thing to develop a data transmission which is used for Telemedicine.This paper designed a data transmission system for Telemedicine, which including physiological data acquisition module, local gateway and remote client. User can detect their physiological data by themselves and see the test results on the screen directly. The system can accurately detect the physiological data of human body through the probe and transmit the data to the gateway through the Bluetooth module. After receiving the data, the gateway begin to process it and display it on the screen. At the same time, the gateway will send the data to the remote client for analysis and processing through the Internet. In order to provide convenient and real-time communication to doctors and patients, a video call function will be established between local medical gateway and remote client.This paper firstly introduces the status and background of Telemedicine and explains the significance of the research. Then introduces the hardware platform of the system, including performance of ARM development board, the advantages and disadvantages of various types of wireless communication module and so on. It also introduces the process of building the software development platform, such as how to build the development environment of Android system and how to transplant the Android system to the development board. Finally, the paper introduces the design method of each part of the program in detail, including program of Bluetooth data transmission, program of local gateway and remote client data processing and the program of video call.
