In recent years, along with the develop ment of IT technology and ceaselesslyrising business requirements, building a database maximum availability architecturehas become the most urgent reqirement of many enterprises. Ensuring the continuedavailability of the enterprise’s important data resources is one of the main goals ofvarious database administrator (DBA). If users and customers can’t access toresources their work rely on, all data resources and security/protective applicationprogram) in the world will lose their most functions. If supporting applicationprogram database and operating system can’t work, the organization will not only losethe ir money, but also their reputation and good will.Maximum availability and reducing planned even unplanned do wntime is thegoal of database system, especially in the environment needing24*7barrier-freeoperation. Shutting-down maintenance of the database or breakdown owing tohardware problems is not acceptable, because these troubles can bring great loss to acompany. Fortunately, we have the maximum availability of Oracle characteristics toreverse the situation, such as: real application clusters (RAC), automatic storagemanagement (ASM) and Data Guard(DG). In the design of database architecture, realapplication clusters and data guard will provide database instance failover (failover),or even disaster recovery to offline standby database. When you plan configurationand fus ion, you must take cost and efficiency into consideration,in order to provideenterprises availability they need. To review these characteristics and learn how toimplement these features will help you to provide reliable, extensible, stableenvironment, handle loss of hardware device,and recover in case of accident. Throughpatching nodes in the cluster one by one, we can ensure that at least a node isavailable during patching time, even the planned maintenance window becomesmaller now.From the abo ve, research and implement high concurrent big data databasemaximum availability architecture has come to a budding time.
