IGCC is a clean coal power generation technology. It has been vigorously thedevelopment and research.Our Country has abundant coal resources. Using oil ornatural gas instead of coal as fuel, IGCC indirect gas-steam combined cycle fueledwith solid fuels. Because of burning Low-BTU gas, the measurement and control ofthe syngas heating value and OTC are particularly important. It will directly affect thecombustion conditions, and even affect the security of the internal parts of thecombustion chamber. This fuel to combined cycle monitoring system put forwardhigher requirements.In this paper, the gas turbine monitoring system utilizing Low BTU gas based onIGCC carried out a detailed study and elaboration. First, the article briefly describesthe mainly gas turbine controller working principle, designs the position and model ofgas turbine and its auxiliary systems monitoring parameters. This paper focuses on thetreatment of two important parameters of the gas turbine monitoring system, the gasturbine outlet temperature of the design calculations, the selection and applications ofthe appropriate sensor; another syngas heating value formation process, including thesyngas components monitoring methods as well as their respective sensor applications.Finally, we discussed the results of monitoring and problems, with fuel oil operationand syngas operation, as well as the approach for practical problems.This article relies Huaneng (Tianjin) IGCC demonstration power plant project isrunning well, the gas turbine monitoring system of Utilizing Low BTU Gas can be putinto use after commissioning.
