With the rapidly developing of information technology, information explosion,the organization and management of data has become particularly important. As oneof the main ways of information management and long-term storage, the databasehas been extensively in all walks of life.The performance of database directly affectsthe scalability of the business and the user’s operating experience, reliability of thedatabase directly related to the correctness of business data. However, due to therelatively late development of domestic database, various domestic industries of ourcountry,even some areas that contain national key information also had to rely onforeign databases, which seriously affected the security of national information.With the development of the domestic database, we have to face the problem toconfirm the performance and reliability of the databases,to make market buildconfidence of the domestic database.In this paper, we propose a database OLTP performance test tool and databaseACID properties verification tool based on TPC-E benchmark.This system is adistributed tool which can test databases with SQL operation and ODBC connection,and verify ACID properties of database.With this system, we can test theperformance and reliability of the databases. And also, in order to facilitate the buildof the test database, we designed a automated construction tool.This database test tool uses multiple low-cost PCs which are distributeddeployment, to generate heavy workloads and impose them on the system under test(SUT), in which we can simulate the realistic OLTP workload and test theperformance of the target database on SUT. The workload generation withdistributed PC is a effectively way to reduce the cost of deployment, and also is agood way to guarantee the workload imposed capacity of tool, to ensure thescalability of the tool.We tested the tool on several database systems, inc luding those domesticdatabase products, and compared the performance and reliability of differentdatabases, analysised the possible causes of their differences. The tool can provide aguidance to optimization for database developers,and provide a reference for thedatabase selection.
