The high-performance fault-tolerant computer plays a more and more important role in the key industries related to national security and economy, such as finance, telecommunications, etc. But nowadays the high-performance fault-tolerant computer has been monopolized by foreign manufacturers, which threatens our country's economy and information security.There are high demands on key performance indicators of high-performance servers (transactions per second, the ability of fault-tolerant).This subject comes from"The High-performance Fault-tolerant Computer's Assessment and Measurement"which is the subsidiary subject of"High-performance Fault-tolerant Computer", which is an 863 major project.This article have designed and implemented a TPC-E Benchmark for OLTP(On-Line Transaction Processing) on High-performance Fault-tolerant Computer, for testing the ability on OLTP of the high-performance fault-tolerant computer.TPC-E is the new benchmark approved by the TPC (Transaction Processing Council) council recently. This article has a depth analysis on the TPC-E test specification constraints, the transaction processing model, the database design, and the development package Egen provided by TPC-E. This paper also illuminates the design and the implementation methods of the TPC-E Benchmark dedicated to the high-performance fault-tolerant computers, which follows the design guideline of TPC-E specifications. Furthermore, by combining with the tools of file system fault injection and IPF Machine Check fault injection, the TPC-E Benchmark has been used to evaluate the fault-tolerant ability of OLTP, the evaluation results and performance analyses of which are presented in this paper.
