With the popularization and development of computer technology, computers have widely used in some key areas which are related to the national economy and national security, such as financial, telecommunications, banking, energy and military. The computers used in these key areas require strong transaction processing ability and high usability, so the system performance of these computers need to be stringently tested..As a typical OLTP application, bank intermediary business has been rapidly developed in recent years with the development of banking business, so people begin to pay close attention to the OLTP performance research of servers which are used in bank intermediary business environment. At present, there are some existing OLTP system performance evaluation benchmarks such as TPC-C and TPC-E, but these benchmarks need huge hardware and software resources, high costs, long development cycle and are difficult to be implemented for users. In addition, there are model differences between existing OLTP system performance evaluation benchmarks and bank intermediary business environment, which may cause the test results of those benchmarks can not represent the performance in practical application situation. Therefore, this paper explores the server's transaction processing performance benchmarks oriented to bank intermediary business. The best performance evaluation approach for the servers which are used in specific application is to establish a actual business application model and then evaluate its performance. First, an workload model termed BIBModel oriented to bank intermediary business was established through the detailed analysis and research, this include the design of database and transactions of BIBModel, the defination of evaluation framework and performance metrics. Based on BIBModel, an graphical server performance evaluation benchmark termed BIBbench in which the workload models can be expanded and the performance metrics can be monitored was implemented. BIBbench mainly includes a graphical console, load simlation clients and the system under test. Next, this paper illustrates the performance test methods by using BIBbench to verify the feasibility of BIBModel, and some system optimizations are presents. Finally, based on BIBbench, some performance testing oriented to high-performance servers are performed and the testing results are analyzed.
