Research and design on sequence with low/zero correlation zone (LCZ/ZCZ) play avery important role in code-division multiple access (CDMA), coding, radar etc. Thecorrelation properties and the number of sequences directly have effects on multipleaccess interference, multi-path interference and capacity of the systems. Thereforeconstructing of sequence sets with good correlation properties and lager set size is verysignificant.In this thesis, we mainly research on designing of binary and quaternary sequence.First, based on a pair of Hadamard matrices of the same size, new construction ofmutually orthogonal binary ZCZ sequence sets is presented by interleaving recursion, thesequence sets proposed can achieve theoretical bound of binary ZCZ sequence sets, thenumber of sequences doubles the size of Hadamard matrix, and more mutually orthogonalbinary ZCZ sequence sets can be obtained by using the coefficient matrices.Second, based on binary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets, new quaternaryZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets are researched by using inverse Gray mapping.In certain conditions, which means the obtained sequence sets can achieve the theoreticalbound, though the binary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets employed can notreach the theoretical bound. The proposed scheme can get more different quaternary ZCZperiodic complementary sequence sets by using different parameters.Third, based on binary pseudorandom periodic complementary sequence and binaryLCZ periodic complementary sequence sets, one class of binary and four classes ofquaternary LCZ periodic complementary sequence sets are proposed, by interleavingtechnique, shift sequence and the inverse Gray mapping. The existence range of LCZperiodic complementary sequence sets are larger than the conventional complementarysequence sets, which can provide more signal codes in practical application.Finally, based on two-dimensional(2-D) binary periodic complementary array set andshift sequence, new2-D quaternary ZCZ periodic complementary array sets areconstructed by using inverse Gray mapping. The array sets proposed comprise a number of subsets, and each subset is a quaternary ZCZ periodic complementary array sets, thedifferent array subsets are orthogonal mutually complete complementary. And the shiftoperation can be performed in the row or the column of the array, which leads to2-Dquaternary ZCZ periodic complementary array sets with different parameters.
