The sets of sequences with low/zero correlation zone(LCZ/ZCZ) are widely used in radar, coding theory, code-division multiple access(CDMA) spread spectrum systems etc. The correlation property of the sets and the number of sequences are respectively related to the interference and the capacity of the system, therefore the design of low/zero correlation zone sequence sets with good correlation properties and large set size is very important.In this thesis, based on interleaving technique and inverse Gray mapping, LCZ/ZCZ sequence sets are constructed, such as LCZ sequence sets, ZCZ complementary sequence sets and ZCZ complementary sequence pairs sets are studied.Firstly, some new binary component sequence sets that satisfy specified conditions are constructed compared with the known binary component sequence sets. A number of quaternary component sequence sets are constructed based on the binary component sequence sets and inverse Gray mapping, and then different quaternary LCZ sequence sets can be obtained by these quaternary component sequence sets, using the interleaving technique. Quaternary LCZ sequence sets proposed in this paper mostly respect to the Tang-Fan-Matsufuji bound and can be used in QS-CDMA systems to support more users.Secondly, more new quaternary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets are constructed by two methods based on binary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets of even period and inverse Gray mapping. The proposed scheme can get a greater number of quaternary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets by using different parameters, and under certain conditions, the obtained sequence sets can achieve the theoretical bound, which offers a variety of quaternary ZCZ periodic complementary sequence sets for engineering applications.Thirdly, Gaussian integer ZCZ periodic complementary sequence pair sets are constructed based on perfect Gaussian integer sequence pairs and orthogonal matrixs or perfect Gaussian integer sequences and orthogonal matrix pairs. The resultant sequence pair sets are optimal with respect to the bound, and the number of sequence pairs in sequence pairs sets can be flexibly chosen.
