So far the sharply increasing of drivers has become a new phenomenon of Chinatraffic situation, which causes that the work of training driver become more urgent.However, due to not arranged training time and low training efficiency in the real cartraining process, these limitations makes the traditional driver training has somedisadvantages. Through the virtual reality technique, the virtual driving training systemcan improve the level of driver training, as well as improve the training efficiency.According to the analysis of existing problems, such as short training time and lowefficiency, combined with the virtual reality technology of3ds max and Quest3D, wedevelop the driving training system.Firstly, we use the3ds max to construct the virtualscene of driving training, for example, training field, automobile appearance, steeringwheel, rearview mirror, wheels and other auxiliary equipment; Then the vehicle modelthat has certain physical behavior characteristics was established after analyses thedynamic characteristics of ODE engine, and combined with the joystick to operation thevirtual car to achieve the function of starting, acceleration and deceleration, turning andreversing; Based on Quest3D platform, we create a virtual driving visual system torealize the collision detection response, multi-channel render display, sound simulation,and other functions in the training process, which further improving the real-timeinteractive graphics and immersion feeling. Finally, the virtual car driving trainingsystem can be used for the subjects of the car driving training in varied venue.Based on virtual reality technology, the virtual car driving training system withvirtual vision and sound imitation which makes an immersion environment offers anefficient and reliable running environment.It is expected that the system would bepromising as applied as new technique.
