The Design And Implementation Of Map Roaming System With VIP Customer Information

"The location in a Map" is one of the most important information not only peoplewant to obtain,but also a enterprise want to inform. In order to meet such demand,theauthor has developed "the map roaming system with VIP customer information". Theoriginal intention of the system development come from the strong demand to mapinformation when the author studied in the overseas.The later intention become theactual need that a enterprise provides map service to customers and advertise theenterprise itself.The system has been applied to two actual projects.The program aims to find out solution about how to use the most economic wayto display location information on the map,and how to provide a good user experienceand rich visual interface in the system.The system don’t need for large database andGPS data support. It focus on providing map data by using XML technology andsmall database technology, on presenting the map and VIP customer information byusing FLASH technology and focus on ensuring a good user experience with FLASHpowerful interactive function.Therefore,the system provided VIP clients’ data including the location on the map,presentation and hyperlink. The VIP client icons were embedded in map system. Thus,Roaming map mean roaming VIP customers. The system could roam a map bydragging, rolling, translating, scaling and other operations. The system also couldorganize,navigate,locate the VIP clients by operating a tree component and observethe whole map by translating a Hawkeye.These features are fully reflects the " gooduser experience" objective.The system adopted FLASH technology, XML technologyand small database technology and didn’t need for large database and GPS datasupport. The author developed the system using the ActionScript language.He alsocompleted the analysis, design, coding, testing, release of the system.The codes of thesystem had a million lines nearly.This paper discusses and summary the issues relateddesign and implementation of "the map roaming system with VIP customerinformation"."The map roaming system with VIP customer information" provides a lightweightsolution for WEBGIS. The solution not only is more economic, more flexible andmore targeted but also has a wide application field and good market prospects.
