The Research And Implementation Of Network Topology Visualization Technology Based On WebGIS

With the rapid development of Internet, network management has become increasingly important. Network topology management is the foundation of network management, so in order to effectively manage the network, there is a need for network topology visualization research.At present, the network topology visualization expresses the logical network topology only, with the development of network, people have higher requirements at the management of topology. On the one hand, with the development of WebGIS, network topology is required to combine with WebGIS, make good use of network resources and express the specific location information of network equipments, on the other hand, the logical network topology is able to show a reasonable distribution to users, as much as possible to reduce the gland and cross, so that users can understanding of network connections intuitively.In response to this question, in this paper a new visualization method, which applies to the display of the topology of middle scale network, based on the visualization method WebGIS, was proposed. The advantages of this method are for the backbone network topology visualization reflect the actual location at the map based on hierarchically structure with the background, nodes, links and subnets belong to different levels and make the entire topology clear; for internal subnet devices we made logical topology visualization, proposed and implemented a heuristic model and a combination of variable-length model of the layout algorithm, can effectively reduce the equipment coverage; we achieved a set of prototype system (GTopView) based on MapInfo and the system has been integrated into an integrated network management system.In this paper, all subsequent chapters elaborate the main idea of the WebGIS-based network topology visualization system(GTopView) and the key technology of implementation process, and finally give a prototype of the system.
