Research On Development Status Of Cloud Computing Based On Webometrics

Webometrics is the derivation and revolution of Bibliometrics, Informetrics,Scientometrics in the new era of information network. In this study, based on previouswebometrics analytical methods, in order to overcome the problems and limitations ofthe previous webometrics methodologies in determining development trend ofemerging technology, selecting data sample and retrieving data, a new methodologywas proposed to apply webometrics to analyze the development trend of cloudcomputing technology. This study proposed a feasible research frame andmethodology on exploring aspects such as: Internet data acquisition, Internet datafiltering and result display. And analyzing could computing development status interms of technology flow research, technology focus research and technology keyareas.In the study of cloud computing technology flow research, network link data wasretrieved as base data. Methods such as importance filtering, social network analysiswere applied to extract network link between various types of enterprise subjects andnational states. Conclusions were drawn that cloud computing technology has flowedto the enterprises, and this technology is currently in the transition phase fromresearch and development to industrialization, so that the cloud computing technologydevelopment status could be further obtained.In the cloud computing focus study, retrieved network URLs data to be base data.Applied technology focus analysis, co-occurrence analysis and other methods toidentify the different attention status paid by various social organizations and nationalfor cloud computing technologies, to analyze the links between the national andsub-technologies. Conclusions was drawn that top five most concerned technologiesacross the world are the Parallel Computing, Distributed Computing, Grid Computing,Remote Processing Distributed Storage, it also predicated the most likelydevelopment direction for cloud computing in the future and the development trend ofcloud computing.In the Cloud computing technology focus areas research, took blog site textcontent as base data, applied methods like frequency analysis and text clustering toanalyze the time series of development situation of cloud computing in general aswell as in each sub-area. Conclusion was drawn that cloud computing security will bethe focus of people’s concerned area recently, also rapid development in this area could be predicated, and hence the key development area of cloud computingtechnology was obtained.
