Nowadays, cluster management is still a common way used in data processing in almost all the domestic e-commerce websites. Xuncang.net is just one of them. As we all know, the common cluster management costs a lot in hardware and electricity power. Moreover, the original data is saved simply, which isn't converted to valid information, this will produce a large mount of invalid and redundant data and can't meet all service requirements. For example in order to ensure that the search result is correct every time, current system does the same redundant process for every kind of searching reque.(?) Of course this may enhance the searching accuracy, but will reduce the searching performance at the same time. Furthermore, with the rapid grown up of E-commerce industry, data used in websites is roaring accordingly. If data storage and management method isn't improved, the website performance will be affected seriously. It has become the most urgent issue to find a balancing solution between cost and performance for the data management among of current e-commerce websites.First of all, current situation of data management and the problems that Xuncang.net is(?)acing are discussed, and it's necessary to analyze the feasibility of developing a new data management platform based on cloud computing technology. Upon these analyses, the main functions and the core procedures such as update personal information, buy goods and data backup are discussed. Then, the system architecture of the data management platform is put forwarded as well. The modularization developing method and the design pattern like Strategy and Observer are used to design the core subsystems, such as cloud storage management, cloud connection management and fault-tolerant processes. The emphasis discussion is the data storage management based on cloud computing and the data fault-tolerant process to protect the system in abnormal condition. In the end, the system's maintainability and scalability are also discussed, and the prospect of the future development of data management platform based on cloud computing is talked over as well.
