Evolution Of RFID Technology Based On Patent Analysis

Patents as the most effective carrier of technical information become animportant source for technical analysis. Full use of the patent intelligence informationand mining technology hidden value and knowledge of the law, are significant toformulate relevant national policies and technological innovation.At present, the domestic patent intelligence analysis mainly focuses onpatentometric and citation analysis, which could not discovery the technology andknowledge rules in patent intelligence. While patent context analysis, as one oftechnique in knowledge discovery, provides a method to obtain depth technicalinformation, and context analysis is the trend of intelligence analysis.Based on the analysis of RFID technology development, by analyzing thecontents of RFID patents, this paper explores technology topics of RFID technology,and reveals the development status and evolutionary trends of technology topics.Practical work is as follows:First, RFID technology is analyzed from the aspects of technology life cycle,prolific institution, hot technology domain and country analysis, so we can grasp thedevelopment of RFID technology.Second, Stick to the problem that patentometric could not reveal the full range ofpatent intelligence, this paper does content analysis from abstract and obtains thekeywords of RFID, based on the co-word relationship of keywords, we cluster thekeywords and get the technology topics of RFID, with the help of strategical diagram,we explores the current development of technology topics.Last, we draw road map of technology topics by word frequency and documentfrequency of keywords contained in technology topic, and do further analysis of thedevelopment of each technology topic.Keywords: RFID, patent, technology topic, technology evolution...
