Research On Technology Evolution Based On Ipc Classification Revision

Technology evolution analysis can help countries,enterprises,or researchers sort out the technology development context and grasp the technology development trend.At present,the scientific research community has proposed a series of more mature technology evolution research methods,but usually based on patent metadata or patent text content,but the patent classification is used as an established technology knowledge system in these two types of research,Does not take into account that the patent classification system has also been revised with technological development and evolution.In view of this,this paper proposes a research proposition to analyze the evolution of technology in combination with the revision of the patent classification system and its patent disclosure data.First,this article fully investigates the patent classification system and its revision status.Combined with the characteristics of each patent classification system,the IPC classification system was selected as the research object of this paper,and the revision history,revision policy,revision agency,revision process,etc.of the IPC classification system were sorted out,and the classification revision was divided into new classification,deletion classification,There are four types of transfer classification in the technical field and transfer classification between the technical fields.Corresponding to the four types of revisions,the patents are divided into five categories: newly added patents,deleted patents,intra-class transfer classification patents,inter-class transfer classification patents,and unrevised classification patents.Secondly,due to the revision of patent classifications,which resulted in overdocuments,there was a problem of data discontinuity when using the revised patent data for technical evolution research.In view of this,this paper also proposes a reclassification method of over-patent patent documents based on Word2 vec +Text CNN,using the title and abstract text of the classified and revised patent as training data,and the title and abstract text of the over-patent patent documents as task data,after text segmentation,Word2 vec Model training,text vectorization,Text CNN model training,over-document reclassification process for model training and over-document reclassification.The model's patent reclassification accuracy rate exceeds 80%,which is an effective patent reclassification model.Again,taking the 2009-2018 revisions of Part H(electrical field)in the IPC classification table as the entry point,we will analyze the publication trends of Part H patents and four types of revisions from the perspectives of five countries / regions:Global and Central America,Europe,Japan,and South Korea.Public trends and the evolution of technology in the four revisions.The following conclusions were obtained;(1)The newly classified patent disclosures focused on H01L(semiconductor devices)and H01M(devices that convert chemical energy into electrical energy,such as battery packs),H04L(transmission of digital information,such as telegraph communications),and H04N(images Communication,such as TV),shows that these areas have a relatively high degree of technological innovation in the past 10 years,and more new technologies have emerged;(2)The disclosure of patents that have been deleted is concentrated on H04N(image communication,such as TV),and H04W(wireless communication Network),H04L(transmission of digital information,such as telegraph communication),indicating that the technologies that were eliminated in the H department(electrical field)in these 10 years are concentrated in these areas;(3)intra-domain transfer classification and inter-domain transfer classification indicate different technologies The degree of innovation,the transfer category in the technical field includes H01R(conductive connection;mutually insulated electrical connection structure element structure combination;connection device;current collector),H01J(discharge tube or discharge lamp)and H04N(image communication,such as TV),technology Inter-domain transfer classification includes H04W(wireless communication network),H04N(image communication,such as TV),and H02S(radiated by infrared rays,visible light Converting ultraviolet light to produce electrical energy,such as the use of photovoltaic(PV)module)and the like.Finally,it summarizes the two innovations of the IPC classification revision research technology evolution and the patent reclassification method based on the Word2 vec + Text CNN model proposed in this paper,points out the shortcomings of this paper and prospects for the future.
