Assembly process planning is not only the most important and wasted a lot oftime and effort, but also determines the key performances of aerospace products,which has been taken attentions for many years. The assembly sequence planning isa core technology in the digital product assembly planning. Therefore, the GAalgorithm, to find the optimal assembly sequence. Optimized assembly sequencebased on simulation studies of the assembly process digitized and recorded to teachanimation. In this paper, results are as follows:First of all, there goes a deep research on the modeling of assemblyinformation model. By connecting the true demands and design requirements,removing the redundant and introducing the concept of remove obstacles matrix, wecan have a clear idea about the assembly information model. Besides, the paper alsointroduces the judge method of assembly or sequence feasibility, which found thebasis of generation and evaluation of assembly sequence. Second, to generate theassembly sequence, genetic algorithm is used. In details, it uses the way of symbolcoding, which indicates the number of different parts. As to the genetic operators, ituses the general ones to get better performance. The work also designs the fitnessfunction according to the general principles in the assembly process. Finally, theachievement of the paper is applied to a specific aero-product, to plan the assemblysequence for it. It confirms the algorithm which introduced in the paper isreasonable, feasible and correct.Second, the preservation and accumulation of the assembly knowledge andexperience has been realized by the assembly process of3D simulation, recordingassemble sequence, path and operation, the three dimension animation reappear.Finally, product design improvement and assembly process optimization canbe obtained by quantitative data proved by the assembly process of collisiondetection, and interference assembly process data statistic calculations.
