Research On The Assembly Process Planning Based On Solid Assembly Model

Assembly sequence is the content of the assembly process planning. Computer Aided Assembly Process planning system is helpful for computer aided assembly sequence. The design of assembly process based on the solid model bulit in the CAD system is the basic requirement of the integrating of processing and the design of the product.The methods of assembly process modeling and assembly sequence planning are introduced in this thesis and the research is about the electrical motor model. The IronCAD Application Programming Interfaces is used to develop a function module which is helpful to the assembly process planning and it is developed in Visual C++ and based on SQL Server2000. An assembly tree can be built from this module according to the assembly model and the assembly sequence will be built at last. It is the base of the integrating of the processing and the designing of a product and will increase the efficiency of assembly process planning. The main researches are as follows:1. The key technology of the assembly process planning including creating the assembly model, assembly sequence planning and expression of the assembly sequence et al is researched.2. The structure of the electrical motor is researched and the assembly process of the electrical motor is analyzed. The assembly sequences of the main assembly components of the electrical motor such as the stator and the rotor are described by the assembly process system drawings and the typical assembly sequence of the electrical motor is summarized.3. The classification and the description of the assembly features are researched and the feature models of the parts are built in CAXA, and the parts are assembled to hierarchical assembly model.4. The CAXA application programming interfaces are researched and a function module which is helpful to the assembly process planning is developed.
