The detection of liquid density is of great importance in modern economicconstruction and national defense construction and it has embedded into every aspectin our daily life, especially for the detection of airplane fuel oil. The modern aviationcontinuously pursue endurance, in order to increase the effective range and load, solooking for high precision, safe, efficient and low-cost oil online measurementtechnology has been one of the scientific research task of the important airborneelectromechanical systems to security aircraft flight safety. The subject stems fromthe “10th Five-Year Plan” defense pre-research program named “Intelligentmanagement of the fuel system and high-precision oil measurement technologyresearch”.This subject developed the resonant cylindrical of liquid density sensor for thedetection of aircraft fuel density, taking into account some other liquid densitymeasurement. The liquid density sensor provides the superior performance with highaccuracy, good stability and reliability, high resolution, convenient debugging andreal-time online measurement, etc.This paper focus on the design of the sensor measurement system, based on thedepth analysis of the working principle of the resonant cylindrical of liquid densitysensor. The specific contents are as follows:1.This paper introduced and compared the methods of the existing liquid densitymeasurement, proposed the research subject of the resonant cylindrical of liquiddensity sensor and determined its research method and task, by understanding thecurrent situation of research and development at home and abroad;2. It expounded the measurement principle of the resonant cylindrical of liquiddensity sensor detailed and systematically, simulated the resonant cylinder which isthe core component of sensor with the finite element analysis software ANSYS,analyzed its vibration regulations and influencing factors, identified some criticalparameters;3. It structural analyzed and designed the mechanical structure and componentsof the sensor system, with a detailed description of the need to pay attention to in the machining and assembly process and a brief description of the hardware design of thesystem and its working. Analysis the differences between the old and new sensorsfrom the scope of application, structure volume and practicality;4. Studied and designed the hardware circuit of the sensor, briefly introduced thecircuit design and realization of each part;5. In this paper, a mode of vibration detection experiments about the resonantcylinder was taken and the difference between theoretical analysis and experimentresults was analyzed and compared, meanwhile two experiments on function andstability of sensor system was presented and analyzed the experimental data tocumulate the system accuracy and analyze its influencing factors in detail. The resultsshow that the designed mechanical system of the density sensor can initially meet therequirements.
