The sun tracking device is in a wide range of application as the main method toimprove the efficiency of radiation utilization about solar power system. Adapting to thechronic and intermittent property of the change about solar ray, and to the geographyand weather changes is the critical design about tough parabolic design of solar energytracking system. This aims at meeting the required of accuracy and timeliness. Besides,large tough parabolic solar power plants require real-time working state monitoringabout each sun parabolic dish concentrator unit. Based on the analysis about solartracking technology at home and abroad, the sun angle is calculated by the combinationof the light sensor and clock calculation, at the same time, the intermittent trackingmethod will be applied to the design of system tracking program. This article alsodesigned the tough parabolic solar tracking control system basing on the PICmicrocontroller which has achieved the sun tracking system design requirements.Because of the influence of the earth rotation and revolution, the changes of sunelevation angle and hour angle reflect the sun movement rules. This article designedtough parabolic solar tracking control system which tracks the sun Angle changesdirection, and can calculate the sun position through the method of the union of the lightsensor and the clock. The control system use controller to calculate the control signalwhich drive servo motor. The sun parabolic dish concentrator is driven by mechanicalhydraulic system to track the sun. The control system realizes feedback loop control byusing the angular displacement sensor signal. In brief, all the methods effectivelyimprove the accuracy and timeliness of the tracking system, and ensure the toughparabolic of solar parabolic dish concentrator with light efficiency.This article established the tough parabolic sun tracking system model, andoptimized the system model by using the MATLAB tools, obtained the appropriatecontrol parameters by the simulation. Derived the calculation of sun tracking anglegeneral formulae based on the clock, and put forwarded the intermittent tracking controlmode and the software programs. By using the MPLAB IDE single-chip microcomputersoftware development tools and PROTEL electronic circuit development tools, thisarticle designed the PIC microcontroller as the core of the controller, and realized thelight sensor and angular displacement sensor signal collection, the sun Angle calculation,the control signal output and CAN bus data communication with computer.This article in the support of Sichuan Province Science and TechnologyDepartment support projects (project Numbers:2011GZ0216), completed thesimulation of the tough parabolic solar tracking control system, and the hardware and software development of single chip system, made the printed circuit board, and thedata communication between the single chip system and the PC machine, completed thesystem of the prototype research and development. Through the test, this articleanalyzed the tough parabolic solar tracking system performance, and verified thefeasibility of the system.
