In recent years, with the development of the national health care reform, hospitalhopes to deepen the "patient-centered" service concept and provide high qualitymedical service by changing the work mode via information technology. Meanwhile,The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the People’s Republic of China has issued a numberof medical information standards, in which electronic medical record is the essentialpart of hospital information platform. Following the single disease clinical pathstandard, hospital carries out clinical pathway management work, which has becomean important component in technical solution. This paper mainly focuses on collectingentry clinical data from in-patients after complete diagnosis and treatment in SunYat-Sen University Cancer Center(SYSUCC).Firstly, modeling by object-oriented method and UML modeling, the WirelessMobile Clinical Information System is designed to solve the problems faced bymedical staffs in their clinical work and bottlenecks occurred due to informationsystems.Secondly, with the help of wireless network technology and mobile digitalmedical equipment, a doctor or nurse can collect clinical path related data at the firsttime, making it possible that clinical medical staff can transfer and query patientinformation anytime and anywhere. Moreover, medical security and efficiency can beenhanced significantly by employing barcode information management inidentification patient’s identities, dispensing prescription and specimen collection.Finally, the Wireless Mobile Clinical Information System, collecting and storing clinical data according to the empirical study and evidence-based medicine method,provides valuable research information and reports the changes of patients’clinicalpathway in time and help clinical medical staff to take effective medical care in orderto prevent medical accidents.This research can effective predict and prevent clinical faults as well as improvethe ability of monitoring patients’ clinical status, embodying the idea "a correct patientgets the correct treatment in the right time", and finally advancing the efficiency ofSun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center(SYSUCC) management and implementing ofMOH’s High quality care working standard.
