With the rapid development of computer technology and internet,embedded systems have become the most popular areas of current IT conceptsand technologies. Currently, embedded systems are widely used inindustrial control, automotive electronics, communications, consumerelectronics and other fields. We can say that embedded systems arestrongly correlated with our daily lives, so the embedded systemtechnology is catching more attention. Many universities in our countrynow have opened embedded systems courses in subjects as computertechnology, electronic information engineering, communicationengineering and so on. Embedded systems courses are comprehensive witha combination of hardware and software systems. Students need to learnhardware circuit knowledge, knowledge of the operating system, C languageprogramming and so on. Further more, embedded systems course is a kindof course with developing technology for practical use, its technologywas originally based on application. So students are required to not onlylearn theoretical knowledge, but also learn through the experimentalcourses, then they can have deeper understanding of the development ofembedded systems technology and can accord with requirements from theemployers in such areas. Therefore, to open embedded systems course, itis necessary that theory course should be matched with practice course,which requires the use of embedded teaching experiment system. In marketthose systems developed by various companies are very expensive, and theycan not be complied with the embedded teaching. Based on this, it isnecessary to build a kind of embedded teaching system with characteristicsas low-cost, suitable for university teaching attached with complete circuit theory diagrams and experiment source code. It is of greatpractical significance for improving the teaching effects of embeddedsystems, and for the training of concerned human resources as well.This thesis mainly completed the following tasks:1.Analysed the embedded system in current market. Proposed to build alow-cost, suitable for university teaching attached with complete circuittheory diagrams and experiment source code.2. described the characteristics of embedded systems and experimentalteaching status, system analysis of the current experiment in the teachingof embedded systems problems, put forward the direction of embeddedsystems to improve teaching, and as a guide, developed and designed inline with embedded systems need to experiment experimental teachingsystem.3.The thesis mainly has studied the hardware design and the supportingexperiment design of ARM7embedded teaching experiment system based onSamsung S3C44B0and has completed the experiment content for the teachinguse.4.completed the porting work of μC/OS-II embedded operating system andμClinux embedded operating system on the experimental system hardwareplatform.Currently, the project has completed the hardware and softwaredevelopment and debugging work of the embedded teaching experimentalsystem. Through a small-scale trial it proved to be complied with theanticipation of this topic and achieved good effects.
