Power-line communication technology as the core technology of the future smart grid, has the advantages of many users,wide distribution, advantage with the user, widely distributed, without re-install the wires and so on. In the broadband over power-line of smart distribution grids, it could effectively eliminate the effect of multipath, attenuation, time-variety and frequency-selection for power-line channel by applying the technologies of adaptive orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and dynamic resource optimization allocation. Which could better improve the PLC systems’utilization of resource and quality of service. The study of this dissertation was focused on the study of resource allocation in broadband power line communication systems for the Smart Grid.Firstly, analyse the principles and performance of the OFDM technology in broadband power line communication systems.Against the constraints of adaptive OFDM system for broadband power line communication,explaining the adaptive resource allocation algorithm in multi-user system, based on the mathematical model of adaptive bit and power allocation. Then analyzes of the specific principles of resource allocation based on the bit-loading algorithm.Secondly, a algorithm based on the singular value decomposition decoupling the communication channels and the dirty-paper coding technology eliminating the directional interfere among the equivalent channels was proposed with the cross-interfere between the adjacent channels for the multi-conductor power cable communication systems. The proposed algorithms were tested in the various parameters of multi-conductor power cable and all various restrictions, and the simulation results indicate that the algorithm could keep the system performances and achieve the resource allocation of multi-conductor power cable communication systems.Finally, according to the characteristics for broadband wiring indoor, a resource optimization allocation algorithm based on the resource factor was proposed with the multi-hiberarchy and multi-objective characteristics for the adaptive multi-user bit-power allocation on the multiple subcarriers. And the algorithm were tested in some typical multi-user power-line channel scenarios, the simulation results illustrate that it could meet the multi-objective requirements of the multi-service resource dynamic allocation in PLC systems and improve the overall performance of the system,which prove the importance of the resource factor. Through further simulation experiments analyzes the impacts due to environmental factors and relevant variables on the value of resource factor. In order to determine the value of resource factor in different systems, then better improve the BPL systems’utilization of resource and quality of service.
