Study On The Misunderstandings And Countermeasures Of Media Spectacle In China

Media technology is changing with each passing day, media spectacle is used toattract the audience and perceive the principal contradiction and the major events ofthe society. In this paper diagnosis type criticism is used to survey the media spectacle,combined with the typical issues of media spectacle appeared in recent years, toreveal that how the media spectacle to reproduce the dominant discourse, how todeliver the conflicts and important aspect that exist in the areas of politics, economyand social events to the audience. This paper is trying to show the misunderstandingof media spectacle, exploring the realistic root of its formation, and also to make theaudience know how to look on the media spectacle, how to treat the media spectacle,how to understand its inherent social significance and the way that media spectacleinfluences people’s thinking, behavior and identity, so that the audience can have aclear understanding of media and media spectacle, preventing excessive fans fromindulging in the media spectacle, and tries to find the countermeasures from theaspects of media ecology, media education and so on.
